AIDS Rochester is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients, constituents, volunteers and website users. This privacy notice briefly explains how we protect entrusted HIV related information and information generated by our website.
AIDS Rochester does not share information about our clients, constituents, donors, and volunteers with any outside party unless required by law or New York State regulations. Our client records are protected by Article 27-F of New York State Public Health law. State law prohibits disclosure of HIV related information to a third party without the specific written consent of the person to whom it pertains, or as otherwise permitted by law. A general authorization for the release of medical or other information is not sufficient authorization for further disclosure. Disclosure of HIV information that occurs as a result of a general authorization for the release of medical information is not sufficient authorization for a further disclosure. Through our website we collect information about the domain name of a visitor’s server (i.e., the name of the Internet service provider’s computer that funnels traffic to the Internet) but use it only for measurement purposes. We do not automatically collect e-mail addresses or other personal information unless you provide it on a form or survey. The information we collect is used in the following ways:
