Join me in a bike ride across New York State!

I'm going to do it again- and if this orthopedically-challenged old lady can, so can you! I am serving as the Team Captain for the A.R.iders, the ride team representing AIDS Rochester. Already signed up to ride are Kevin Judge (President, ARI Board of Directors), Dave Gadbow, Dan Abbott, Melissa Lord, Allen Payne, Peter Pullano (Board Member), Sheamus Cullen, Phoebe Reynolds, and Alex Rodriguez. But there’s always room for more!

The riders will be supported by our very own volunteers extraordinaire: Judy Silvestrone, D.C., Mathias Holzhocker, Mary Lou Del Rio, Bill Kress, Marty Gray (ARI Staff), and Eric Frauel.

Empire State AIDS Ride offers you the chance to:

• Support, in a meaningful way, 4 very important AIDS organizations, including AIDS Rochester which received almost $59,000 from the ride last year. The more our team brings in, the greater percentage allocated to AIDS Rochester.
• Memorialize and/or honor someone who has been touched by HIV.
• Get that belly and that butt as tight as you've been promising yourself you would!
• Bond with hundreds of other amazing people (especially our AIDS Rochester team - we have so much fun!!!!!).
• See the amazing beauty of our lovely state (up close and personal!).
• Experience a life-changing week you will never forget!

The challenges of the ride:

• Getting that butt in shape

P.S. A word of comfort: I thought all the riders last year would look young and buff - but instead they just looked like average Joe's - many in their 40's, 50's and up! If they can do it, so can we!!
